Tears

Tears were
entangled

in her eyelashes,
looking through them

she saw a blurred
world, lined with
rainbows
where laughter
never ended
and memories
didn’t make you cry,
because
nothing that was good
ever went away for long.
And hearts were
pumped
with love
and never failed
because there
was
always enough
to go around.
And death
was only a relative term

instead of an end.
The tears swelled
and slipped
silent
as her sigh
down her cheeks,
leaving only
their pale traces,
and a loving wish
behind them.

  1. Margie I’m so sorry I didn’t get around to reading your poems for so long. I always tell myself that I want to be in the right mental state for reading your poems, and too often I’ve been stressed lately. But I always mean to catch up to them. I only want to return the support which you’ve shown to me in endless amounts. 💙.

I love how the lines flow like the breath and the flowing of blood and tears which the words describe 🙂.
